Frequently Asked Questions
What does an integrated approach look like in a session?
Integrative mental health honors the deep connection between the mind and the body. In our sessions, we will look beyond just your symptoms to explore how your lifestyle patterns, sleep quality, nutrition, and nervous system impact your overall well-being. Rather than just focusing on what to remove, our treatment planning will focus on what positive practices we can add to maximize your vitality and brain health.
Are sessions available in person or online?
I offer both options. You can attend sessions in person at my office in Southwest Longmont, or utilize a secure, HIPAA-compliant Telehealth platform from the comfort and privacy of your home or workplace.

What is EMDR and how does it help?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven, evidence-based therapy for treating trauma, anxiety, grief, and depression. When you experience a traumatic event, that memory can become "frozen" in your nervous system, causing you to relive the original distress. Using bilateral stimulation (such as alternating eye movements or audio tones), EMDR helps your brain safely process and desensitize these memories, allowing you to move forward without reliving the past.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am an in-network provider with the following insurance plans: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, UMR, Oscar, Optum, Surest, Cigna, Medicare and Compsych EAP.
If your provider is not listed, I can supply a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What are your out-of-pocket fees?
If you are not using insurance, the private pay rate is $140 per 60-minute session. Payment can be made easily via check, cash, or credit/debit card.
